Kinder Konfidence

Kindergarten Konfidence is a set of activities to do with your kid in their first year of school

Practice attentive listening skills

TODAY'S PLAY: Get your kids moving while they practice their listening skills too! Try hopping around the room to the different commands with your kid.

Ask your child if they would be willing to play a game with you. Explain that you will say something and then you'll both do it - sort of like Simon Says. Clear a space in the living room or head outside. You can even turn music on to make this higher energy.

Go through all of the different motions you could make (walking, running, jumping, dancing, moving side to side) and shout out what you are doing so your child will follow. Ideas include: let's walk low, let's walk high, let's jump up and down, let's jump quickly, let's jump slowly. There are tons of fun things you can do, including dancing around the room!
